Much, many, a few, a little: cuantificadores en inglés
Para hablar de cantidades, el inglés distingue entre sustantivos contables (que se pueden contar: books) e incontables (que no: water, money, advice).
Much y many
Many con contables: How many books? Much con incontables: How much money? En frases afirmativas se prefiere a lot of: I have a lot of friends.
A few y a little
A few con contables (a few friends) y a little con incontables (a little time) significan 'algunos/un poco'. Sin la a (few, little) el sentido es negativo: casi ninguno.
Some, any, too y enough
Some en afirmativas y ofrecimientos (Would you like some tea?), any en negativas y preguntas, too much/many = demasiado y enough = suficiente.
